- TINA
McMURRAY
Tina is certified to teach by Dance Masters of America and is an active member of Chapter 47. She served as their Vice President in 05-06 and 07. She is starting her 29th year in Sheldon and 28th year in Le Mars. She began dancing at the age of two and a half at her mother’s studio. Tina began teaching at the age of 15 in Perry, Iowa and moved to Le Mars in 1978 after working a summer at Adventureland as a dancer.
Tina teaches Pre-ballet, Combination, and Company classes in Le Mars. In Sheldon she teaches Ballet I, Jazz I and Tap I, Ballet III, Jazz III and Tap III.

 DAPHNE FEEKES
- Daphne Feekes has been teaching at the Sheldon Dance Studio, since 1994. She taught Pre-dance until 2008, but has continued to teach the Combo 1,2,3 and Beginning Jazz/Hip-Hop Classes.
Daphne’s dance education came from Denny’s School of Dance in Mason City, Iowa. She danced under their direction for 14 years, where she learned Ballet, Tap and Jazz. She was on TV at the age of 5, dancing to “The Good Ship Lollipop: and she competed in various dance competitions in Minnesota and Iowa. She competed at the Iowa State Fair “Bill Riley’s Talent Scouts”
Daphne has been an Associate Teacher and Dance Team coach at the Sheldon High School, since 2003. She is married to Gary Feekes. They have two daughters, Felicia and Allorie. Felicia had 10 years dance experience at the studio and Allorie has continued to receive her dance education with “The Performance Company”.

 BETH
SITZMANN - Beth started dancing at the age of two and has been teaching since she was 17 years of age. During her time at the Dance Studio, she was a member of the Performance Company, participated in numerous conventions and competitions and has taught many varieties of classes.
Beth married Joe Sitzmann in August 2008 and they reside in Le Mars.
Beth is currently teaching Combination classes level II and III, Ballet, Jazz, Tap I, III, IV levels all levels of Tumbling and Hip Hop and Performance Company classes in Le Mars.

AMY KROGMAN
- Amy has lived in Le Mars for 32 years and graduated from Le Mars Community High School. She also attended Western Iowa Tech Community College and Wayne State College. Amy danced for many years with the Dance Studio and was actively involved in many competitions and attended many conventions. She danced with the Sioux City Ballet Company.
Amy is married and is a stay at home mom with three children. She also works part-time at Archie’s
Waeside.

KATIE COLLINS
- Katie was a graduate of Le Mars community High School in 1997. She has a degree in Occupational Therapy and is a Nursing Assistant. Katie danced for ten years and was a teacher for four years. She loves dancing and is excited to be a part of The Dance Studio.
Katie has two daughters, Janae and Kiera.

SHELBY MCMURRAY
- Shelby McMurray will be a senior at Le Mars Community High School. She has taught Ballet, Tap, and Jazz II for the past three years, and choreographed for the performance company this past year.
Shelby has been in dance for 15 years, with 8 years in the performance company. She has been a part of the LCHS dance team, band, and choir for three years, with one year on the All-Iowa Dance team and one year in the Iowa All State choir.
Shelby plans to continue dancing past high school, and hopes to always keep the studio in her
life.

MINDY ALBRECHT
- It’s been a joy for me to teach tumbling again this year! At the age of six, I began in a very similar fashion; tumbling in the basement of my coaches home. For the next 14 years, outside of school, competitive gymnastics (and dance) became my life.
After becoming the Iowa High School Gymnastics Champion my senior year, I competed as a University of Iowa gymnast and graduated from college with a wellness degree. For the next 8 years I co-founded, directed, and coached the Iowa GymStars, a youth club gymnastics team in Iowa City.
I moved to Sheldon in 1999 with my husband, Brian, and have two children, Alex and Ashlyn. I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to be involved again in the sport that was so important to me in my young life!

LYNDSIE MEINECKE
- Lyndsie Meinecke has been teaching at the dance studio since 2010. She teaches ballet, tap, and jazz II. She first began taking dance lessons at the dance studio in August of 1997. Lyndsie has assisted other classes along with teaching.
Lyndsie graduated from Sheldon High School in May of 2011..

KORRIE MERLEY
- This is my first year teaching Ballet II at the Dance Studio, and I have assisted in years past. I am a junior at Sheldon High School where I am involved in dance team, basketball and football cheerleading, choir, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Spanish Club.
Outside of school, I work at Hansen Photography and love spending time with friends and family.
